Yes-Rock Progressive-Fragile -Recensione 2022- E’ l’album d’ingresso di un nuovo tastierista al posto di Tony Kaye, il suo nome è Rick Wakeman. Virtuoso delle tastiere , proviene dagli Strawbs e porta un’aria nuova nel gruppo. In questo Album Rick , con i suoi strumenti dà tecnica e suono ai brani della Band. Si inizia ad intravedere che tutti i musicisti sono dei grandissimi professionisti e che cercano in ogni brano la perfezione.

Questa formazione è la preferita da tutti i fans, anche se Alan White non farà rimpiangere Bill Bruford, quando questi lascerà il gruppo per andare con i King Krimson di Robert Fripp.

Registrato nel 1971,il disco vede l’ingresso nella Band di Rick Wakeman, sarà il primo di tre Album in cui il suono degli Yes raggiungerà l’apice. La formazione è così composta:

Con Fragile inizia la collaborazione tra il gruppo e il grande Roger Dean che proseguirà con la creazione delle cover degli Album degli Yes fino ai giorni nostri.

Nella parte frontale della copertina, c’è un pianeta immaginario, onirico, con un vascello volante che lo sorvola, nella parte dietro , lo stesso pianeta si stà rompendo ed anche quì c’è un vascello volante.

Questo disco secondo me fa parte di una trilogia di perfezione musicale che il gruppo non raggiungerà mai più.
